
Spring 2026 Admission Requirements
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for the CCA program, applicants must meet the following requirements.
AGE AND EDUCATION
-
Be at least 18 years old by the program start date (March 30, 2026)

Have Grade 12 or equivalent, or apply as a Mature Learner (19+)
-
Some applicants may be required to complete reading and math assessments
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS
You must provide:

A Criminal Record Check
-
A Vulnerable Sector Check

These must be issued within six months of the program start date.
Important to know:
-
A criminal record does not automatically disqualify you
-
Non-violent offences are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
-
Newcomers to Canada (in Canada less than six months) must provide a police clearance from their home country

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
​Some international applicants may be eligible to study without a study permit. You must:

Hold a valid open work permit
-
Have applied for that permit on or before June 7, 2023
​​
Eligibility is time-limited and dependent on federal policy.
LANGUAGE AND DOCUMENTS

All documents must be submitted in English
-
Translations must be completed by a certified translator
-
Applications missing required documents after 45 days will be cancelled
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Applicants whose first language is not English or French must provide proof of English proficiency through one of the following:​

Duolingo: 95

CELBAN: Level 7
-
CELPIP: Level 7
-
IELTS (General): Band 6
-
IELTS (Academic): Band 5.5
-
ISANS: Level 7
BEFORE YOU APPLY
​To apply to the CCA program, you must first complete the Step One Eligibility Check. Once completed, NCC will contact you with next steps for the full application. Before starting Step Two, make sure you have the following ready:
SCHOOL RECORDS
​You will need one of the following:

A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (GED or CAEC), or
-
Eligibility to apply as a Mature Learner (19+)

Transcripts must be:

In English, or officially translated
-
Sent directly from the school or provided in a sealed envelope
TRANSPORTATION
You must have:

Reliable transportation for classes and practicum placements
BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS
You should be comfortable using:

Email

Word processing
-
Basic Excel and internet searches
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER FULL APPLICATION COMPLETION
The application process includes both the Eligibility Check and the Full Application. Applications are reviewed in the order they are completed. Your application is considered complete only once all required documents are received.
